Everything You Need to Know About Receiving Your Artwork Safely

How is my pastel artwork packed?

Each artwork is packed using professional, archival?safe materials to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Your pastel piece is:

  • Wrapped in acid-free glassine

  • Supported with rigid backing

  • Cushioned with soft protective padding

  • Secured inside a sturdy, custom?fitted shipping box

This method protects the pastel surface and keeps the artwork stable throughout its journey.

    Is pastel dust normal?

Yes. Pastel is a delicate medium, and a small amount of pastel dust inside the glassine is completely normal. It does not affect the artwork and is simply part of the nature of soft pastels.

    Who ships my artwork?

All artworks are shipped through Australia Post, a reliable carrier experienced in handling securely packed parcels. Their tracking and delivery systems ensure your artwork travels safely from my studio to your home, wherever you are in the world.

    Do you ship internationally?

Yes — I offer free shipping worldwide. Every parcel includes:

    • Full tracking

    • Signature on delivery

    • Insurance

    • Careful handling through Australia Post’s international network

Your artwork is cared for from the moment it leaves my studio.

      How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary by location, but most parcels arrive within:

      • Australia: 3–10 business days

      • International: 10–21 business days

You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your artwork is on its way.

What should I do when the artwork arrives?

Please hand the artwork directly to your framer while it is still in its protective packaging. This keeps the pastel surface safe and untouched until it is professionally framed.

How should I frame my pastel artwork?

Pastels require thoughtful, professional framing. For best long?term care:

        • Always use acid?free, archival materials

        • Pastels must be framed behind glass (not acrylic, which can create static)

        • Use a spacer or mat board to keep the glass from touching the artwork

        • UV?protective glass is recommended but not essential if it is protected from sunlight.

        • Choose a framer experienced with pastel artworks

These steps ensure your artwork remains vibrant and protected for decades.

Can I display the artwork unframed?

Pastels should not be displayed unframed. They are best preserved behind glass with proper archival materials.

What if my parcel is delayed or damaged?

If anything unexpected happens during transit, please contact me immediately. All artworks are insured, and I will work with you to resolve any issues quickly and smoothly.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

You’re always welcome to reach out directly. I’m here to make the experience smooth, safe and enjoyable from purchase to framing.
