{"id":622,"date":"2013-02-01T05:39:28","date_gmt":"2013-02-01T05:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kayleenwest.com.au\/portfolio\/?page_id=622"},"modified":"2023-08-23T18:57:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T08:57:00","slug":"kayleen-west-author-illustrator-bio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.kayleenwest.com.au\/portfolio\/kayleen-west-author-illustrator-bio\/","title":{"rendered":"Contact &#038; About"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>BIO: Kayleen West<\/h1>\n<p>Kayleen has won many awards for her works, some hang in private and corporate collections around the world, including the Australian Embassy in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Since late 2009 she has worked with several publishers as author and\/or illustrator, publishing many childrens books including: Adoptive Father, Without Me?, Better Than A Superhero, Celia and Nonna, We Worship God, Positively Quote Colouring Book and the Shining with Light Series (9 book series)<\/p>\n<p>Today Kayleen enjoys her fine art studio time, working on either her faith inspired artwork, painting Australian landscapes en plein air, or capturing variations of light on just about any subject matter including portraits and figures.<\/p>\n<p>Her works are confidently stated in a beautiful contemporary impressionistic but realist style. Her works celebrate, colour, light and the dance of brush strokes or pastel expression. She work in all mediums and is quite prolific given the chance. She devotes some time to teaching on line, demonstrating for societies or functions, and mentoring other creatives.<\/p>\n<div
