Stick figure drawing solution. Basic drawing video tutorial

For those who can only draw a stick figure – there’s hope!

Busting the stick figure myth

Have you ever complained or jokingly expressed an inability to draw, even a stick figure?  I know a lot of people who have.  In fact, if I had a dollar for every time someone said, “I can’t even draw a stick figure”, I’d be an extra weekly almond cappuccino in a local coffee richer!  Maybe even a gluten-free muffin too!

This creative deficit statement is a lie.  If this is you, please don’t miss the joy of drawing by believing a silly fallacy.

Most people who confess stick figure talent, secretly wish they could draw.

If this is you or someone you know, I have GREAT news for you!  You CAN draw.  In fact, I bet you could smash that silly stick figure fallacy TODAY.  And after watching only one video tutorial.  I would LOVE to empower you with a short FREE video lesson embedded below.  This could be all it takes to get you on the road to drawing real subjects.  I want this win for you!

And when you do, look at some of the wonderful things you can apply drawing to:

  • Scribble down illustrated ideas
  • Creative journaling
  • Sketch with your kids or grandkids
  • Design images or draw shapes on your crafty project.
  • Or even start down the road to being a professional artist!  It is never too late to start and EVERYONE starts at the beginning.

Drawing is easier than some may think.  So check out this first video in my Drawing on Furniture Series.  And please subscribe, like, share. pin or post to help your wanna-draw friends and loved ones.  It will cost you nothing but a click to forward and check it out.

There are live video replays in my Facebook VIDEO LIBRARY, collating as I go live or upload things I think may help others learn.

I have also begun to edit and upload shorter speedy versions of my main live events (like this one) to my YouTube channel.

When you do surprise yourself (as I believe you will) and you covet even more creative challenges. Keep watching the series as I continue on, inking a coffee table top.  This includes topics and tips on gathering reference, shading, blending and more.  The series continues each Thursday night at 7:30 live on my page (PLAYfessionalEDU) until this VERY elaborate table top is completed and sealed.  It is suitable for beginners and more advanced creatives alike.

So, I challenge you and your friends to try drawing again or watch and enjoy the process.  I pray is inspires and blesses you.

I would love you email me to let me know how you go if you will.  I’d be THRILLED if I knew it inspired someone – truly!  I get such a kick out of emails like that.  It inspires me not to quit when I spend all day trying to upload a video on a shocking Internet speeds (like today – MY Sunday – grrrr) Failing and re-uploading time again-sigh!

I don’t teach to look good.  I’m forever learning and growing too.  I teach to encourage others to enjoy what give me so much joy.

It is better to celebrate creative wins with a tribe of like-minded people than to succeed alone.

Materials used in the inking part of the projects can be found on MY MATERIAL LISTS PAGE
